It's time to check in on our trees, for the photo excursion Julie & JeriAnn are hosting. These updated photos are a stark contrast to the green leaves I photographed on the tree August 28. Just a few leaves remain, shimmering a golden yellow. I didn't realize it until I downloaded the photos to my pc, that our pooch is in the background of one of them. The little sweetie is with me everywhere....

It over 70 degrees here in Iowa today ~ a rare treat for November. I hope you're enjoying rare treats today too!

What a great change for such a small tree...a really powerful message! Thank you for playing along with us, Di! xo
PS I think you were warmer than San Diego today!
Wow, Di. What a wonderful contrast. And the pooch -- I have two that follow me everywhere.
Just a sprinking of leaves left. Really beautiful tree!
I love looking at all of the different trees in different parts of the country. Just a few leaves left- but love the yellow. Thanks for peeking at my tree as well. Yellow leaves too- just a lot more of them!
I love the second shot Di; it captures the tree magnificently!
Was warm here yesterday too....which makes me wonder what we're in for. (Indiana is notorious for those sudden changes)
I was out shooting the remaining leaves on the ground.....still some gold against the green grass.
XXOO!!

Hi, This tree is great! I always think it's strange how FAST the leaves seem to fall off! I like your pooch too! I guess he's famous now LOL!
Thank you for visiting my blog-this is so much fun!
Yup, we had that lovely warm weather this past weekend and today it's quite nice too. I can live with November's like this. :)
I love the color change of the leaves but I love to be able to see the tree trunks when the leaves are gone. Yours looks like two arms reaching up to the sky. Beautiful. :)Bea
Such a beautiful little tree. I love that you took shots from the same angles both times....it shows a nice contrast.
It's the final arboreal week...stop by so we can see your tree!
